When did this begin? I don't remember Wing Doolie in the late 70s. --80lady 17:02, 20 July 2007 (CDT)

It was definitely around by my smack year in '88, but I don't remember it being done at the wing level--just the group level. As I recall, it went toward squadron of the month points. I think there was also a rule that you couldn't put up the same doolie more than once, to make sure the haze was spread around more equally among the 4ºs. I also remember it not being uncommon for a squadron to put a struggling 4º up for group doolie, to (1) put extra stress on him and (2) see if he and his classmates could get him up to speed in uniform and knowledge so that he could give a respectable showing. Kind of like the deal with being 4º class rep--by the time you were done you were either turned around or you'd want to quit worse than ever. - Tarfu92 14:36, 22 July 2007 (CDT)
