[edit] Guest speakers and the Bird

So is it true that all cadets now all say "The Bird" in unison when presented? That takes away the humor of what we used to do (what I assumed was the "traditional" response)--someone would get up to present the statue, usually with generic words like "On behalf of the Cadet Wing, we'd like to present you with a token of our appreciation", and cadets would yell out, fairly randomly, "Give him the bird!", implying a less-than-dignified gesture. Of course, who knows--that might not have sat too well with the PTB. Interesting to see the evolution of things. - Tarfu92 04:45, 11 March 2007 (PST)
