Talk:Leadership Attribute Survey

This is still going on now. It's called the LAS (Leadership Attribute Survey) and has to be taken at the end of every semester. You have to rank every one of your classmates in your squadron, and rank the top four and bottom four of each of the other classes within the squad. You also have to leave a comment for the top and bottom four of each class. The cadet and AOC do get a printout at the end, and I'm pretty sure they consider it in your MPA.

I can see where some of the nicknames come from - no one really likes this survey. The top few and bottom few usually stand out, but for the middle 25 or so cadets, it's basically a crapshoot. Even the best couple cadets usually wind up getting a few negative comments, mostly for the amusement of their raters. In the end, the LAS usually just leaves everyone pissed off. - 07petko 17:21, 5 February 2008 (MST)

I hated that stupid thing. I would always put myself first, and invent some witty remark justifying said rank. Then I would rank everybody else by looking at the dorm room plan or some other equally meaningless list. The last 4 entries would say "I have nothing bad to say about this cadet," or I might even put a positive comment that should otherwise go in the "top 4" section.

You can tell that there are always a few tools in every squadron, because they'll take the LAS way too seriously and use it as an anonymous way to bash on their classmates. --Heinous 08:24, 6 February 2008 (CST)
