[edit] Reporting

During this ceremony, I distinctly remember that "Absent, Sir" (or Ma'am) was called out by a designated cadet within the body of the squadron--specifically not the squadron commander. Has this changed? I saw this blip on the USAFA website:

The Air Force Academy's annual Homecoming Memorial Ceremony takes place here tomorrow, Sept. 14, beginning at 4:30 p.m. . . . Each name, the year of graduation and the last cadet squadron to which the graduate was assigned will be called out. The current cadet squadron commander will then respond, 'Absent.'

It has been the Squad Comm for the last 3 years, may not always have been though.--Dave09 16:43, 15 September 2007 (CDT)
