Talk:Homecoming Memorial Service
From USAFA Folklore
[edit] Reporting
During this ceremony, I distinctly remember that "Absent, Sir" (or Ma'am) was called out by a designated cadet within the body of the squadron--specifically not the squadron commander. Has this changed? I saw this blip on the USAFA website:
| The Air Force Academy's annual Homecoming Memorial Ceremony takes place here tomorrow, Sept. 14, beginning at 4:30 p.m. . . . Each name, the year of graduation and the last cadet squadron to which the graduate was assigned will be called out. The current cadet squadron commander will then respond, 'Absent.' |

It has been the Squad Comm for the last 3 years, may not always have been though.--Dave09 16:43, 15 September 2007 (CDT)
