Wow. Just looking over who has spoken and noticed that Carter never spoke at a USAFA graduation. Anyone know why not? I would have figured as a Canoe U grad he might have made the circuit during his term. - Tarfu92 13:05, 15 November 2006 (PST)

While Carter never did a USAFA graduation, he did speak to the cadet wing at the Field House. I was there. I would guess that the year was '84 or '85. He had some good stories to tell, like from is middie days and with Rickover and such. I don't remember him defending his decision to axe the Bone. I'm sure he did this because he believed that money was better spent toward the ATB (B-2). But it was all classified and he ended up looking weak.
