Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever run into someone who got pissed off by the use of the word "grad" for a Zoomie? I worked with a guy once who always got spun up about "grads", because he said that all officers were "grads" of something and Zoomies shouldn't have a monopoly on the word. - Tarfu92 15:03, 1 December 2006 (PST)

I guess time has truncated many terms. I always said and heard either "Academy grad" or "Zoomie." Never heard just "grad" to mean Zoomie except amongst only other "grads," if you know what I mean. I can see the non-grads' point. --80lady 06:31, 2 December 2006 (PST)
