Talk:Bring Me Men Ramp
From USAFA Folklore
I have it on good authority that the aluminum letters that spelled out "Bring Me Men" were never discarded, but are in storage someplace. I will buy a keg of beer for the cadet who finds out where they are and recovers them. --Heinous 15:55, 4 September 2006 (PDT)
Jim Shaw said the AOG has them somewhere. Dolittle Hall I assume. --68.100.141.175 04:14, 5 September 2006 (PDT)
Regarding the metal gate...that was in place before 2001. I was there in the spring of 1997 and there was a blue gate and a call panel that rang Command Post to get access. A similar gate was put in place at the Chapel Ramp(s) as well. I believe that the gates were a response to certain spirit missions that had run afoul of the leadership (and the snow). - Mark O'Reilly, 94
There was a parking-garage-style motorized barricade before 2001, but that was removed and in its place was installed the full-size slide-down grate that blocks even pedestrian traffic.
