I had a roommate that did this repeatedly as a 4 degree after a good night at Arnold Hall. If I remember correctly, the size of the pole is wider at the bottom that at terrazzo level. There is also a square concrete block (about 3 feet tall?) supporting the pole at the bottom. On one occassion, he went down the pole and landed with his crotch on the corner of the block. His balls were blue and swollen for almost 2 weeks.
