Jack's Hack

Jack's Hack is slang for the nagging cough that nearly all basics had upon returning from Jack's Valley. It is most likely caused by inhaling pounds of dust kicked up in and around the Jack's Valley training areas. Given the extreme dryness and 50 years of heavy cadet pounding, the dust in Jack's Valley exists in almost molecular size and can hang in the air for hours.
