Hazing

Hazing is the unnecessary harassment and overzealous training of basic cadets and fourth class cadets. It can also be attributed to the unnecessary harassment and overzealous training of all cadets by the powers that be. Hazing is officially prohibited.

The word "haze", however, is still often used at the Academy to refer to anything that seems unnecessarily cruel, difficult or harassing, such as:

• Water Survival, which is sometimes called "Water Haze"
• "That Thermo GR was a haze"
