Flow control is a method of moving large groups of basic cadets or fourth class cadets from one place to another, normally on the Terrazzo. Flow control involves stationing upperclass cadets intermittently along the marble strips between the two locations. The upperclass cadets move the fourth class cadets along, stopping some to make spot corrections, but ensuring that they make it quickly and safely to their destination. Flow Control is generally used only during Basic Cadet Training and Recognition training.
