Five Degree

"Five Degree" or "Five Smoke" is a term sometimes used for a person who has recieved an appointment to the Academy but has not started yet. They often come to the Academy for one of several orientation programs in the Spring, where they spend about a day and a half with current cadets in the dorms.

A popular tactic during these orientation sessions is to try to get the five smoke involved in training the fourth class cadets during a training session; if the five smoke gets involved enough to be harsh towards a fourthclassman, the 4ºs will remember his/her name and seek that person out for special attention the next year. A similar phenomenon may take place if a five smoke posts something particularly stupid or provocative on eDodo.
