| 1976 | May have been one of the first MASS purchases of Firebirds/Trans Ams. A COS dealer offered ANY Pontiac for something like $100 over invoice, with the added incentive of picking up the new vehicle at the factory. This was hugely successful, and I'd guess that at least 50% of the class went for it. Hard to beat the price - I got a 350 4-bbl with Hurst shifter for $4400. |
