Colorado Hip Disease

Also known in the civilian world as the "freshman 10" or "freshman 15," cadets cruelly refer to women cadets' inevitable weight gain on the 3200 calorie diet as Colorado Hip Disease. The term was also applied to civilians prior to (and after) the admission of women in 1976.
