[edit] Trivia

The Class of 1963 was:

  • the first class to spend all four years at the permanent site
  • the first class to graduate in the new stadium
  • the first class to produce a USAF Chief of Staff
  • the first class to be addressed by a president at graduation. In appreciation, the graduates made President John F. Kennedy an honorary classmate, making them 500 strong. Less than six months later, he was dead, his assassination a harbinger of young lives about to be cut short.
