Chariot racing

Chariot Racing is a dorm hallway activity that can take place in either Sijan or Vandenburg Hall. Like most hallway activities, it takes place when morale is low, stress is high, and there's really nothing else to do.

Bascially, cadets sit in rolling chairs or the some other inventive wheeled vehicle, and get pulled by another cadet, or multiple cadets, down the hallway. It's usually a race between two pairs of cadets. The course is typically a square or rectangle encompassing two or more squadrons, depending on how far the pullers want to run. The long hallways of the two dorms provide a better environment for drag racing, since the halls are long and you don't have to turn. More often that not, the chair crashes into an alcove wall or the CQ desk when turning corners. Sometimes the cadets riding will fight one another as they pass in order to knock the other one of his chariot. Pillows are typically used, though nerf guns, bats, and even toy lightsabers are also common. Sometimes this is accompanied by, or evolves into, a hallway joust.

The most laughable part of Chariot Racing is the chariot. While some opt for the simple rolling desk chair, others prefer something more creative. Cadet furniture, like the trunk or the box of shelves, can be mounted on skateboards to make for interesting and unstable vehicles. Other, more complex, vehicles have been seen on occasion and usually collapse and fall apart upon collision, turning, or reaching high speeds. Sometimes a giant caged laundry cart is used and is a sort of juggernaut in the world of chariot racing.
