Chad Hennings

Chad Hennings (born October 20, 1965) played defensive lineman for the Falcon Football team. He won the Outland Trophy as the nation's top lineman in 1987, the only Falcon football player so honored. Hennings went on to play in the National Football League with the Dallas Cowboys, winning three Super Bowl rings in his first four seasons and tying a Super Bowl record of 2.0 sacks during his last championship game. He was born in Elberon, Iowa.

After graduating from the Academy in 1988 from CS-21, he flew in the Persian Gulf in 1991 as an A-10 pilot in support of Operation Provide Comfort.

In 1992, Hennings left the Air Force and joined the Dallas Cowboys as a 27-year-old rookie. He spent a total of 9 seasons with the team, amassing 28 sacks, 6 fumble recoveries, 4 return yards and 1 touchdown in 107 games before retiring after the 2000 season.

He was inducted into the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
